Bosch Supplier Award
Sembach Technical Ceramics was distinguished with the Bosch Supplier Award 2009/2010 in the category of materials and components.
The Bosch award recognizes companies that have performed particularly well in manufacturing and supplying products or services over the past two years - especially in terms of quality, pricing, reliability, technology, and continuous improvement.
"The Bosch Supplier Award goes to outstanding suppliers who play a key role in the Bosch Group's success and work with Bosch on the ongoing further development and improvement of products and manufacturing processes," said Franz Fehrenbach, chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH, at the presentation ceremony on July 19, 2011 at Stuttgart's Alte Reithalle.
This is the 12th time it has been presented since 1987. There were no awards in 2009 due to the global financial and economic crisis. A total of 60 suppliers from 14 countries received an award in one of seven categories. This is the first time that Sembach Technical Ceramics has won the Bosch Supplier Award.
Sembach Technical Ceramics is for more than 100 years a family business. The company allocated in Lauf distinguishes itself with the structural flexibility of a private owned enterprise, high degree of experience and steadilyincreasing competence and innovation, versus their competitors. Nowadays Sembach is producing yearly approximately 1 billion of ceramic components, and is satisfying the market worldwide with his products. Sembach Technical Ceramics is ISO/TS16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and AEO certified.
In 2010 the purchasing volume of the Bosch-Group was 24 billion Euros. The share outside Germany was roughly 60 per cent. Bosch receives the uppermost from China, followed by Eastern-Europe, then USA and Japan. They purchase electrical elements, mechanical and electro-mechanical components, commodities, attendances, equipment and of course ceramic components from more than 4000 suppliers worldwide.
