Distinguished award from Bosch
On 19th July 2011, Sembach Technical Ceramics was distinguished with the Bosch Supplier Award 2009/2010 in the category of materials and components during a ceremonial act in Stuttgart.
The company allocated in Lauf an der Pegnitz/Germany received this reward for excellent performance during the last two years. Sembach Technical Ceramics is therefore within the Best-in-Class suppliers for the years 2009/2010.
As Franz Fehrenbach, chairman of the executive board of Robert Bosch GmbH mentioned during the award ceremony on July 19th 2011 in Stuttgart „The Bosch Supplier Award is dedicated to those suppliers, who contribute to the decisive success of the Bosch-Group and to the continuous improvements and developments of products and process”. In view of reliability, quality, commitment and price behaviour, suppliers like Sembach always prove to be a steady and efficient partner. Sembach stands out in particular by realizing proactively new concepts and optimizing methods.
Dr. Karl Nowak, chairman of the executive board of the division purchasing and logistic of the Robert Bosch GmbH, presented this distinction to Martin Sembach, General Manager of Sembach Technical Ceramics and Alexander Schönberger, Head of Customer Centre.
Martin Sembach was visibly proud: “This award is a special honour for our company and a high appreciation for the achieved performance.” He confirmed to enjoy this success, but he also underlined that Sembach would not rest on the laurels. “The ambition for optimization by continuous improvements goes on.”
All employees participate daily with their dedication in the respective departments, research and development as well as in engineering or production, to provide customers like Bosch, with the best performance. “Therefore this Bosch Supplier Award is due to every single employee, contributing to the success of Sembach”, Martin Sembach pointed out.
Alexander Schönberger will share this praise with the team: “We can be really proud to have received this award. The success shall motivate us, to give our outmost to fulfil our customers’ high standard and to face new challenges.”
Since 1987, Bosch accords this worldwide supplier award the 12th time. This event takes place every two years. In 2009 it was suspended due to the economic and financial crisis. This award is assigned in seven categories to a total of 60 suppliers of 14 nations.
Sembach Technical Ceramics received this award the first time. Sembach Technical Ceramics is for more than 100 years a family business. The company allocated in Lauf distinguishes itself with the structural flexibility of a private owned enterprise, high degree of experience and steadily increasing competence and innovation, versus their competitors. Nowadays Sembach is producing yearly approximately 1 billion of ceramic components, and is satisfying the market worldwide with his products. Sembach Technical Ceramics is ISO/TS16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and AEO certified.
In 2010 the purchasing volume of the Bosch-Group was 24 billion Euros. The share outside Germany was roughly 60 per cent. Bosch receives the uppermost from China, followed by Eastern-Europe, then USA and Japan. They purchase electrical elements, mechanical and electro-mechanical components, commodities, attendances, equipment and of course ceramic components from more than 4000 suppliers worldwide.
