Injection Moulding (CIM)

Of all the forming techniques ceramic injection die casting provides the greatest scope for design. Only it allows threads, undercuts and inclined drill holes to be fitted directly during forming.

Even so, injection die casting is still something special in ceramics. The reason. The process is extremely time-consuming! Particularly in view of the very long "binder removal". This involves removing the thermoplastic components which are needed for the process.

Despite this, the above benefits ensure that ceramic injection die casting is indispensable for complex components. Its deployability is currently restricted, in particular, by "component size" and "wall thickness".
